Apple’s initial plan was to launch the new iPads by late March or early April, but it is still working to finish the software for the devices, the report added. The new iPad Pro models will have Apple’s latest M3 chip and will come with redesigned versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, the report said. This update would represent Apple’s first overhaul to that lineup since 2018.

A gauge of global share markets was little changed on Thursday as it headed for its second straight quarter of solid gains, while a strong dollar kept the yen near its weakest in decades amid the threat of intervention from Japanese authorities. Wall Street’s main stock indexes also showed minimal change and markets broadly were largely rangebound ahead of Friday’s much-anticipated U.S. personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index data, a closely watched inflation measure. “People are probably a little cautious about positioning ahead of PCE,” said Sameer Samana, senior global market strategist at the Wells Fargo Investment Institute.
Nearly three months into 2024, it’s clear that the bullish trends are here to stay. Markets hit a bottom in late October, but since then the S&P 500 has gained 27% and now stands at more than 5,200. The NASDAQ index is up 30% from its own October 27 low point. These are bull-market numbers, and show little sign of stopping.
